FiberOne Connectivity will be launching Fiber Optic University by the end of the week. It will be an extensive fiber optic training section of their website. Fiber optic basics, components, characteristics, installations and much more will be included. Since Fiber Optic University will be updated weekly, we would like to hear from our viewers what information they would like to see. A new product search feature was added, which allows you to search our high quality and low cost fiber optic products with a click of a button. Our webmaster and editors have been transforming the FiberOne Connectivity website in order to optimize our customer's experience. High Speed Internet Providers Using Fiber

Clearwire is the first company attempting to build the first nationwide 4G mobile internet wireless network, utilizing two main attributes, speed and mobility. Key investors include Intel Capital, Comcast, Sprint, Google, Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. Clearwire markets three very affordable packages attracting consumers as well as businesses.

Verizon's new "Fiber-to-the-home" (FTTH) network unleashes the full potential of fiber optics. Many cable companies brag about their fiber optic networks, when most of them only use fiber optics at their main locations and central offices. For all other local exhanges, including local neighborhoods, regular copper wire is used which significantly slows down the data transmission speed and limits bandwidth.

Qwest is somewhat similar to Clearwire and provides affordable residential and business packages as well. Although fiber optic components are used in their towers and main locations, Qwest uses DSL from the towers node to your home. This is known as "Fiber-to-the-node" (FTTN).

Comcast, the nation's leading provider of wireless internet, provides some of the fastest speeds out there with their new advanced fiber optic network. Although it is a lot faster than DSL, it is still in the works just as it is with every other company.
